We at Poornatha are creating Industry-Academia partnerships to bring the best of opportunities for the student community and the MSME ecosystem simultaneously.

Poornatha has a long-standing relationship with the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. MAP (Multidisciplinary Action Projects) teams have been working with Poornatha or its affiliates since 2009 on a variety of Projects. Regular internships are also provided to Ross MBA Candidates which last for about 10 weeks, through MADE (Michigan Academy for Developing Entrepreneurs) or WDI (William Davison Institute).

In addition to these programs, Poornatha also works closely with student run teams like Living Business Leadership Experience (LBLE) and International Investment Fund (IIF). Multiple engagements engulfing areas such as due diligence, consulting are being carried out with focus on MSMEs in India. About 60 Students from Ross School of Business, University of Michigan have visited our offices in India over the last decade.

Closer to home, we are also working closely with multiple institutions to provide similar opportunities to our student community. First of our efforts was a Survey on Mass Entrepreneurship in Tamil Nadu (Report) executed with the help of student community. The project involved 247 students from 9 colleges across Tamil Nadu.

In the recent months we have also established cross-country teams for smaller projects that would enable knowledge, skills and cultural sharing amongst the students from both countries (India and USA).

During the Covid-19 lockdown, Poornatha has provided internship to 17 Students, all of whom are working remotely, from 5 different B-Schools including- IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Indore, BIMTECH- Birla Institute of Management Technology (Greater Noida), DoMS -NIT (Trichy) and TSM- Thiagarajar School of Management (Madurai).
